Laser Hair Removal

Laser Hair Removal

IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light - it works by concentrating a beam of light onto hair follicles, heating them up and stunting regrowth. Perfect for both men and women, our IPL treatments target unwanted hair with precision, leaving your skin smooth and hair-free. Free Consultation.

A patch test is required 24-48 hours in advance for all first time clients. Recent waxing is not advised or you have been exposed to the sun or sun-beds or if you have any insect bites, broken or irritated skin, cuts or bruises, cold sores or conjunctivitis.  See more advice before your treatment below.

Advice before your treatment

Here are some tips to consider before your IPL laser hair removal treatment.

Sun exposure and tanning

Refrain from sunbathing, tanning beds, and self-tanning products for at least two weeks before treatment, as tanned skin increases the risk of burns and reduces effectiveness.

Waxing, plucking, and threading

Avoid these hair removal methods for at least four weeks prior, as IPL targets the hair follicles, which need to be intact for the treatment to work.

Bleaching hair

Don’t bleach the area to be treated, as IPL targets the pigment in hair. Bleaching reduces the effectiveness of the treatment.

Using retinoids and exfoliants

Stop using retinoids, alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), and other exfoliating products on the treatment area a few days before, as they can increase skin sensitivity.

Certain medications

Consult with your technician about any medications you're taking, especially those that increase sensitivity to light, as they may need to be paused before treatment.

Perfumes and deodorants

On the day of treatment, avoid using perfumes, deodorants, or any skincare products on the area to be treated, as these can cause irritation during the procedure.
